• Within the 2 parades are all the agendas:
• Loopholes: What can I get away with and still be seen as in? What’s the minimum I need to do and still be ok?

 

Passion Story shines light: This is something we all do in our Christian Faith

• Often form of (Often said in your head): “I know _________ but __________”

Sometimes we love our rituals/rules/routines more than our relationship with God

 

Here’s the incredible news for us today: Jesus conquered the seductive power of loopholes

14:35-36 ³⁴And he said to them, ‘I am deeply grieved, even to death; remain here, and keep awake.’ ³⁵And going a little farther, he threw himself on the ground and prayed that, if it were possible, the hour might pass from him. ³⁶He said, ‘Abba, Father, for you all things are possible; remove this cup from me; yet, not what I want, but what you want.’ ³⁷

 

God has given us something so much better than the minimum/just enough

GOD GIVES US ALL OF HIMSELF/His Life/His Kingdom of Sacrifice&Selflessness

AND TAKEN AWAY THE POWER OF Status/superiority/Selfishness

“…yet, not my will, but yours be done..” -> “…thy Kingdom come, thy will be done….”
