Big Idea: Jesus can lead you better than any other leader in history could lead anyone

X2: I am _________ the one Jesus leads…. and well

 

#1: A love as passionate as God’s will not stay dormant

“If you who are evil know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more with your Heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask…”

 

#2: People want to be led well – Jesus can do that

• Think of what you thought for greatest leader you had… ­­­­­______Jesus is the full package
• How? Example: washed feet
• Sacrifice: cross
• Results: Resurrection
• Guides:Prayer/Discernment/Body of Christ

 

#3: Jesus leads us to a place where we can be like him (in every situation)

• Jesus said “Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these…” John 14:12
• First 50% of leadership is getting people to believe in the leader
• Second 50% of leadership is getting people to believe in themselves; that they can do it
• It looks different at different times: sometimes speaks clearly, sometimes soft nudge, sense of peace, still, small voice, speaks through friends/Church family
