Belize Update March 4, 2017

Belize blog; day #3, March 4th, 2017

This morning we woke up at 7:00 and left for our work projects at 8:00. As a few of us have been struggling a little with converting our bodies into Belizian bodies, we each have faced incredible exhaustion in the last 2 days. Our mission’s Bible verse is Hebrews 12:2, Fix our eyes on Jesus! And April lead devotion this morning with, “In moments of exhaustion we fix our eyes on Jesus.” And so today we have done a lot of leaning on Jesus in such exhaustion. Our bodies are tired, no real sickness or health issues thus far! #blessed

Work project #1: go back and finish painting the yellow house!

Work project #2: go to St. Vincent Pollattis Roman Catholic School (the one we painted in 2015) and expand their pathways with cement as new buildings have been donated by Oasis Ministries!

After lunch we had some down time, then we prepared for our time with the kids next week. We are planning a sports and games day here on the mission base on Monday, and then a couple of VBS programs on Tuesday and Wednesday. We have games, crafts, stories, and songs all prepared!

To end the day we all went to San Ignacio and did a little shopping, drank smoozies and slooshies, as well had some local pizza! We all had an amazing, God filled, SAFE day!
